The boring stuff

General
The Customers will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions if they give instructions or place orders by any means for Work to be done or Goods to be supplied. 

Pricing
All prices showngiven are correct at time of publishing and are subject to change without prior notice. 

Payment
Payment by cheque must be cleared before the work will be carried out. Cash on completion of work. All servicesgoods shall be paid for upon completion or in accordance with any credit terms agreed in advance. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Please see privacy policy for more details. 

Completion of work
We will aim to complete all work on and within agreed times but we will not be liable for delays. Work shall be deemed complete when the Customer is so advised by Autotech. We reserve the right to refuse to do work on any vehicle that is deemed to be not roadworthy or unsafe. 

Uncompleted work
If for any reason Work requested by the Customer is not carried out in full Autotech will charge reasonable amount for any work actually done and the then current price of any goods supplied or fitted. 

Refund Cancellation Policy
This policy is only valid for customers purchasing tuning boxes by telephone orders or through our online shop. If you wish to cancel an order contact our Customer Service team by email. Please include the order number and the date the order was placed in all correspondence. An order can be cancelled once placed, if the processing of the order has not yet started and it is not with a third party supplier. We will only refund an item if it is faulty or deemed not fit for purpose. Any refunds will be returned to the cardholder’s account using the original payment method, within seven working days of receipt of the faulty item. Please email us immediately and we will send you details of how to return your faulty tuning box. 

We are not responsible for damages caused by incorrect use, handling, or abuse of the item. Upon receipt of the faulty tuning box we will send you a replacement, unless a refund is requested at the time of the returns request. Autotech cannot be held liable for losses of any returned box and will only issue creditreplacement once the returned tuning box is in our possession. 

Delivery Policy
Our aim is to despatch all orders placed before 1400 (Monday-Friday) within 48 hours of receiving the order, subject to stock availability and security checks. Orders placed after 1400 or at weekends will be processed the next working day. For UK orders, goods should normally be received within 5 working days. Overseas orders should normally be received within 10 working days. We will usually use Royal Mail or a secure courier service for delivery of goods to UK mainland addresses. All orders will require a signature on delivery. Whilst we will make every effort to deliver within the time stated on our website, we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. Please notify us as soon as possible either by telephone or email if you do not receive your goods within a reasonable time. We will endeavour to get your goods to you as soon as possible or you may cancel your order and obtain a refund. We will attempt to deliver your order to your delivery address. If products are returned to us as undeliverable, we shall refund the price of the products less £5 or the products (whichever is less) to cover our postal and administrative costs. For security reasons, overseas orders will only be delivered to the cardholder’s billing address. 

Software
We provide a Lifetime warranty on the software against any bugs, corruption or necessary updates. There may be a call out charge applicable if carried out through our mobile service. 

30-day money Back Guarantee
The money back guarantee is valid for 30 calendar days following and including the day the work was carried out. The 30-day money back guarantee is only valid for customers who have received an ECU remap through the OBD port, all other services including DPF removal, Tuning boxes, BDM tuning and ‘chiptuning’ are exempt from guarantee. Any refund issued under the guarantee is subject to a £40 call out fee/labour charge. Autotech reserves the right to make the following exemptions to the money back guarantee. The vehicle must be allowed to be returned to Autotech to have the original software re-installed and the software Identified as being in place before the refund is issued.

High mileage vehicles suffering from clutch slip. A vehicle outside of its standard warranty period is deemed high mileage. 

Failure to inform Autotech of the defect or to have it examined by Autotech and a failure to give Autotech the opportunity to remedy it. 

Alterations in a manner not approved by Autotech. 

Non-adherence to instructions concerning the treatment, maintenance and care of the Goods or a failure to have the relevant vehicle serviced in accordance with Autotech recommendations. 

All vehicles must be maintained & serviced accordingly and free from defects prior to tuning, we retain the right to refuse to carry out work on any vehicle that is not in good running condition or roadworthy. 

Mechanical Cover
Autotech holds no liability for the failure of mechanical components due to the fact that the nature of performance tuning results in additional stresses being exerted on the engine and vehicles components. Additional information on particular items are highlighted below 

Turbo – A turbo is liable to failure even on brand new vehicles running a manufacturer standard map, they can last from 10k miles up to 150k miles and there is no indication of longevity. Due to the high operating speed a simple small weakness can cause failure. When performance tuning we utilise a very small boost increase which is within the design limit of the turbo, this does however have the potential to highlight any weakness’ and can, although very rare, cause the turbo to fail. This is extremely infrequent however we cannot be held liable in this instance. 

Clutch – The life of a clutch can vary hugely depending on the type of use, for instance, a car used mainly in town will wear the thrust bearing and pressure plate much quicker than a vehicle used predominantly for motorway driving. The clutch and related components will undergo additional stress when modified and as such, it is not uncommon for it to highlight any weakness in the clutch operation. We reserve the right to void the 14-day money back guarantee on vehicles outside the manufacturers standard warranty period.


Powerall Returns -

All returns, exchanges and refunds are subject to the following conditions & rules:

o    Full refund: The item must be unused, (including the accessories included with the item), It will be inspected carefully upon return to determine whether it is ‘new’. The item must be returned within 14 daysof receipt.  All postage costs to return the item will be paid by the sender (customer). A £10 administration charge will apply.

o    Exchange: An exchange is possible if the item unused, (including the accessories included with the item).  It will be inspected carefully upon return to determine whether it is new. The item must be returned within 7 days of receipt and all postage costs to return of the item and replacement item postage will be paid by the sender (customer).

o    Non-functioning units: In the unlikely event that a unit you have purchased is not functioning correctly or not charging, a replacement will be offered, the warranty is limited to this factor only. The item must be returned within 7 days of receipt.  All postage costs to return the item & its replacement item postage costs will be paid by the customer.

The limited warranty will be void if:

o    Not registered at http://thepowerall.com/index.php?route=information/creator&form_id=47 within 3 days of receiving the item

o    The item is tampered with in any way

o    Used with products not authorised by the producers of PowerAll products & accessories

o    Accidental damage

o    Not following the strict guidelines/instructions on use and storage.

o    Re-selling the unit on

o    Misuse of the item

All damage, miss-used, mishandling or accidental damage caused by the user (customer) will not be covered by the limited warranty.
